You're letting us come to your door, pick up your brushes, and bring them back. That's a level of trust we genuinely don't take for granted. So here's our promise: we collect only what we need, protect it like it's our own, and never — ever — sell it. No surprises. No small print. Just straightforward honesty from a business that genuinely cares.
What we collect and why
Booking with us means we need a few details to deliver your service properly. Here's exactly what we ask for and why:
- Your name — to identify your booking and label your brushes for return
- Your email address — to send your booking confirmation and service updates
- Your phone number — to contact you if there's an issue with your pickup or delivery
- Your address — to collect and return your brushes
- Access notes — concierge name, buzzer code, or door instructions. Used only to get your brushes to and from your door. Deleted the moment your delivery is complete. We're not keeping your door code — we promise.
- Brush details and skin type — so we can clean your brushes the right way for your tools and your skin.
- Postal code — to confirm we service your area.
We never see your banking or payment details — not even a glimpse. E-transfers go directly through your bank. All we see is that it arrived. Your financial information stays completely yours.
How we use your information
Everything you share with us is used for one thing — making sure your experience is seamless from start to finish. Clean brushes at your door, confirmation in your inbox, and your information treated with the same care we give your collection.
We will never use your information for anything you wouldn't expect. And if that ever changes — which we have no intention of doing — we'll ask you first.
Who we share it with
Nobody. Full stop. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. That will never change.
We do use a small number of trusted tools to keep things running — Formspree for bookings, Google Workspace for email, and Netlify for our website. Each one handles your data securely and sees only the minimum needed to do their job. None of them are in the business of selling your information either.
How long we keep it
Your booking details are kept for 12 months after your last service — handy if you ever need to check a past order — and then permanently deleted. Any access details you share are gone the second your brushes are back at your door. We don't hold onto anything longer than we need to. And if you want everything deleted before that? Just say the word.
Your rights
Your information is yours. Want to see what we have? Ask. Want to update something? Done. Want it all wiped? Consider it gone. Just email hello@brushrehabstudio.ca and we'll sort it within 30 days — no hoops, no hassle.
If you ever feel we haven't handled your information the way we should have and we've not made it right, you have every right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
