By booking a service with Brush Rehab Studio, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not proceed with a booking.
1. About Us
Brush Rehab Studio ("we," "us," "our") is a professional makeup brush cleaning service operated by Rachel Ramirez Adrian, carrying on business under the name Brush Rehab Studio, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We can be reached at hello@brushrehabstudio.ca.
2. Services
Brush Rehab Studio provides professional makeup brush cleaning services including door-to-door pickup, hand-cleaning, sanitisation, reshaping, drying, and return delivery of makeup brushes. Services are available in Toronto, Mississauga, and Oakville, Ontario.
All services are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline, cancel, or reschedule any booking at our sole discretion without liability.
Brush Rehab Studio is not a dry cleaning, laundry, or alterations service. We clean makeup brushes only. We do not clean sponges, beauty blenders, or any other makeup tools unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Service Hours
Toronto (flexible: windows can be used for either pickup or drop-off):
- Monday & Wednesday · 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday · 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Mississauga & Oakville (each window can be used for either pickup or drop-off):
- Tuesday · 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday · 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
For Mississauga and Oakville, return dates follow the pickup day: a Tuesday pickup is returned the following Thursday, and a Thursday pickup is returned the following Tuesday (or the next day if 24-hour Express turnaround is selected). All pickups and drop-offs are carried out within these windows only. A $10 distance fee applies to Mississauga and Oakville orders under $100, waived automatically on orders of $100 or more. Brush Rehab Studio accepts no responsibility for missed pickups or drop-offs resulting from the customer not being available or brushes not being accessible within the agreed window.
3. Booking & Confirmation
All booking requests must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance of the requested pickup time. Requests received with less than 48 hours notice will not be accepted.
Submitting a booking through our website constitutes a request, not a confirmed reservation. Once a request is received, Brush Rehab Studio will review the request and, if accepted, send a confirmation email with full payment instructions. Payment must then be received within 24 hours of the confirmation email being sent. The booking is fully confirmed only once payment has been received in full. If payment is not received within the 24-hour window, the booking will be automatically cancelled and the slot released. Brush Rehab Studio is not responsible for any loss or inconvenience resulting from a cancelled or unconfirmed booking.
Brush Rehab Studio reserves the right to reschedule any confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances. We will provide reasonable notice and offer the next available slot. No further liability shall arise from such rescheduling.
By submitting a booking, the customer confirms that all information provided, including address, brush brand, brush condition, and contact details, is accurate and complete. Brush Rehab Studio accepts no liability for issues arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided at the time of booking.
Brush count and overage: Pricing tiers are based on the brush count selected at booking. If the actual kit at pickup exceeds the booked tier, an overage rate of $3.50 per additional brush applies. The customer will be notified before any additional charge is applied.
4. Payment
Payment is due within 24 hours of receiving the booking confirmation email. A booking is not fully confirmed until payment has been received in full. Brush Rehab Studio reserves the right to cancel any booking where payment is not received within this window, without notice.
We currently accept payment by e-transfer only, sent to hello@brushrehabstudio.ca (Rachel Ramirez Adrian). Please include your full name and preferred pickup date in the message field of your e-transfer.
It is the customer's sole responsibility to ensure payment is sent correctly and in full. Brush Rehab Studio is not responsible for delays or failed bookings resulting from incorrect payment details or transfer errors.
Subscription Payments
Brush Rehab Studio offers three subscription cadences. For Monthly and Every 3 months, customers may choose between two billing options: pay per cycle, or prepay multiple cleans up front and save 10%.
- Bi-weekly subscriptions are billed monthly (two cleans included per billing cycle). No minimum commitment. Cancel any time, with the cancellation taking effect at the next billing cycle.
- Monthly subscriptions (pay per cycle): one clean per month, billed each month. No minimum commitment. Cancel any time. Cancellations take effect at the next billing cycle, so the cycle you've already paid for still happens as scheduled.
- Monthly subscriptions (prepay & save 10%): three cleans per payment, billed up front as a single transaction at a 10% discount versus the per-cycle rate. After the third clean, customers will be asked whether they'd like to continue at the same rate, switch to pay-per-cycle, or end the subscription. Unused prepaid cleans never expire and may be used at any future date, or refunded by e-transfer within 3 business days of a cancellation request.
- Every-3-months subscriptions (pay per cycle): one clean per 3-month cycle, billed each cycle. No minimum commitment. Cancel any time. Cancellations take effect at the next cycle, so the cycle you've already paid for still happens.
- Every-3-months subscriptions (prepay & save 10%): two cycles (six months of care) per payment, billed up front as a single transaction at a 10% discount versus the per-cycle rate. After the second cycle, customers will be asked whether they'd like to continue at the same rate, switch to pay-per-cycle, or end the subscription. Unused prepaid cleans never expire and may be used at any future date, or refunded by e-transfer within 3 business days of a cancellation request.
The first payment is due within 24 hours of the initial booking confirmation email. Subsequent per-cycle payments are requested by email no later than 3 days before each billing date. If payment is not received within 48 hours of the payment request, the subscription will be paused until payment is received.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellation and rescheduling requests must be submitted by email to hello@brushrehabstudio.ca. A cancellation is only valid once confirmed in writing by Brush Rehab Studio.
One-Time Bookings
- More than 24 hours before pickup: full 100% refund of any payment received, or a free reschedule to any available date, at the customer's choice. Refunds are processed by e-transfer within 3 business days of the confirmed cancellation.
- Within 24 hours of pickup: 50% of the service fee is charged as a cancellation fee. The remaining 50% is refunded by e-transfer within 3 business days.
- No-show or brushes inaccessible at pickup: the full service fee is charged. A no-show is defined as Brush Rehab Studio attending the agreed pickup location and being unable to retrieve the brushes for any reason, including but not limited to the customer not being reachable or brushes not being left out as agreed.
Bridal Bookings
Bridal bookings reserve a specific pickup-and-return window around your wedding date, often weeks or months in advance. The cancellation windows reflect that.
- More than 14 days before pickup: full 100% refund of any payment received, or a free reschedule to any available date. Refunds are processed by e-transfer within 3 business days of the confirmed cancellation.
- 7 to 14 days before pickup: 50% of the package amount is charged as a cancellation fee. The remaining 50% is refunded by e-transfer within 3 business days.
- Less than 7 days before pickup: the full package amount is retained.
- No-show or brushes inaccessible at pickup: the full package amount is retained.
Subscription Cancellations
- Bi-weekly: cancel at any time. The cancellation takes effect at the next billing cycle. The current month's cleans proceed as scheduled.
- Monthly (pay per cycle): cancel at any time. The cancellation takes effect at the next billing cycle. The current month's clean proceeds as scheduled.
- Monthly (prepay): cancel at any time. Unused prepaid cleans never expire. They remain available to use at any future date by emailing hello@brushrehabstudio.ca to schedule. Alternatively, unused prepaid cleans may be refunded by e-transfer within 3 business days of a written cancellation request.
- Every-3-months (pay per cycle): cancel at any time. The cancellation takes effect at the next cycle. The current cycle's clean proceeds as scheduled.
- Every-3-months (prepay): cancel at any time. Unused prepaid cleans never expire. They remain available to use at any future date by emailing hello@brushrehabstudio.ca to schedule. Alternatively, unused prepaid cleans may be refunded by e-transfer within 3 business days of a written cancellation request.
Skipping or Rescheduling Individual Cleans (Subscriptions)
Subscribers may skip or reschedule any individual clean by emailing at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup, at no penalty. Cleans rescheduled within the same billing cycle do not affect billing. Skipped cleans within a billing cycle are not refunded but may be used as a credit for an additional clean in the same cycle, subject to availability.
Switching Plans
Customers may change their subscription cadence at any time by emailing hello@brushrehabstudio.ca. Plan changes take effect at the next billing cycle. The current cycle's billing and service are not affected.
6. Refund Policy
Refunds are issued in three situations:
- Pre-service cancellation: as outlined in Section 5 above (100% if more than 24 hours before pickup; 50% if within 24 hours), processed by e-transfer within 3 business days.
- Unused prepaid subscription cleans: if a customer on a prepay subscription cancels before all prepaid cleans have been delivered, the unused cleans may be refunded by e-transfer within 3 business days of the cancellation request. Alternatively, unused prepaid cleans may be kept on file and used at any future date; they do not expire.
- Service-quality concerns: if a customer believes their service was not completed to a satisfactory standard, they must contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@brushrehabstudio.ca with a description of the concern. Where a valid concern is raised within this timeframe, Brush Rehab Studio will offer a complimentary re-clean. Concerns submitted more than 48 hours after delivery cannot be considered.
Once a service has been delivered to a satisfactory standard, that individual service is not refundable. (This does not affect the right to a refund of unused prepaid cleans, as outlined above.)
7. Brush Care, Liability & Risk
By submitting brushes to Brush Rehab Studio, the customer acknowledges that professional cleaning involves the use of water, cleansing agents, and manual handling, and accepts all associated risks. Brush Rehab Studio takes every reasonable precaution; however, our liability is strictly limited as outlined below.
Customer Obligations
- The customer must accurately declare the brand, approximate retail value, and current condition of all brushes at the time of booking.
- Any pre-existing damage, including but not limited to loose ferrules, shedding bristles, cracked handles, or weakened glue, must be disclosed before pickup. Brush Rehab Studio accepts no liability for worsening of any pre-existing condition during cleaning.
- The customer is solely responsible for ensuring all brushes submitted are suitable for professional wet cleaning. Brushes labelled "spot clean only" or known to be fragile or unsuitable for wet cleaning are submitted entirely at the customer's own risk.
- The customer is responsible for selecting the appropriate care level at the time of booking. Brush Rehab Studio accepts no liability for damage resulting from an incorrect care level selection made by the customer.
Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Ontario and Canadian law, Brush Rehab Studio's total liability to the customer for any claim arising from the provision of services shall be limited based on the care level selected at the time of booking. Full details are set out in our Brush Care & Liability Policy.
- Brush Rehab Studio is not liable for any damage to brushes resulting from pre-existing wear, age, fragility, or manufacturing defects.
- Brush Rehab Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, including loss of use, loss of value, or emotional distress.
- Brush Rehab Studio is not liable for delays, missed pickups, or any loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, illness, traffic, or access issues.
- Brush Rehab Studio is not liable for any damage arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by the customer at the time of booking.
- Damage claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographic evidence. Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted under any circumstances, without exception.
By proceeding with a booking, the customer expressly waives any right to hold Brush Rehab Studio liable beyond the limitations set out in these Terms and Conditions and our Brush Care & Liability Policy.
8. Customer Responsibilities
- Ensure brushes are accessible at the agreed pickup location within the agreed service window. Brush Rehab Studio is not responsible for missed pickups where brushes are not accessible.
- For first-time customers: place brushes in any clean sealable bag (such as a zip-lock bag) for the initial pickup.
- Upon return, brushes will be delivered in a branded sanitary pouch. We recommend keeping this bag and reusing it for future pickups. Simply place your brushes inside and leave it out on your next scheduled pickup day.
- Provide accurate pickup address and access instructions at the time of booking. Brush Rehab Studio is not liable for failed pickups or deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete address information.
- Customers must be 18 years of age or older to book a service.
- Customers must not submit brushes belonging to third parties without their knowledge and consent.

If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario.
15. Severability
